NaturalNews – PF Louis) Colloidal silver consists of silver atoms suspended in distilled ion-less water. The particles of silver are small enough to penetrate on a cellular level and destroy pathogens of all types, including bacteria, fungal spores, parasites, and viruses.

Not only does silver get rid of pathogens, it helps promote rapid healing of the tissues infected or destroyed. Most burn centers use various forms of silver and silver soaked bandaging for burn victims.

You can buy colloidal silver online or in good health food stores or make your own cheaply and easily. Colloidal silver has many applications and is easy to apply. It has no adverse side effects. It leaves beneficial bacteria intact. Reports of argyria (skin turning blue) are greatly exaggerated.

The Medical Mafia has a tendency to blow up rare incidents of minor adverse effects from natural remedies and blow them up as scare tactics while ignoring the hundreds of thousands of annual adverse side effects from correctly prescribed pharmaceuticals.

Ten ways to use colloidal silver for self healing    "Inverser le diabète AUJOURD'HUI" - Votre Cure de diabète - Site Officiel

1) You can spray it onto burns to prevent infections and promote faster healing without scarring.

2) You can also spray or dab it onto ringworm, boils, herpes sores, and warts for faster healing.

3) If you’re having bronchial problems or walking pneumonia, you can put some colloidal silver in a nebulizer and breathe it into your bronchial area and lungs directly.

4) Small amounts taken daily as a tonic will give what some call a second immune system to guard against flues and colds. Easy and inexpensive if you make if you make your own.

5) Colloidal silver drops can be used for ear infections without any harmful side effects. Some use it for eye and nasal infections as well. Perhaps it can be injected anally with an enema bulb to help cleanse the colon.

6) It can be applied topically for vaginal yeast infections or oral thrush (yeast infection). Could be useful for chronic jock itch as well.

7) Colloidal silver can be used by pregnant women to assist fetal development and easier delivery of the newborn child.

8) It can be taken early with the onset of a cold, flu, or bronchitis to get over it quickly without harming beneficial bacteria. Antibiotics kill good and bad bacteria.

9) Colloidal silver can be used successfully to combat MRSA infections. MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) is a staph infection that can be fatal and is now resistant to antibiotics. It usually occurs during hospital stays, but has become rampant enough to originate outside hospitals.

10) There has been some success using colloidal silver with AIDS patients. It adds a layer of needed additional immunity while destroying existing pathogens.

More about colloidal silver

Early 20th Century western medicine used silver as a prime antibiotic and anti-fungal until the 1930s. Then antibiotics became a major source of Big Pharma revenue.

As more and more antibiotics were created, the pathogenic microbes began evolving into resistant strains to them. The health dangers imposed by antibiotics by destroying friendly gut flora needed for digestion and immunity were disregarded.

Antibiotic use lowers immunity by destroying the good bacteria along with the bad. Lately, some fluoroquinolone based antibiotics have even permanently and painfully crippled those who had been prescribed them.

Since silver seems to act by stifling the enzymes pathogens use for survival, pathogens are unable to develop resistance to them. Fortunately, alternative medicine has re-discovered colloidal silver for healing all sorts of ailments. A few years ago, the EU banned colloidal silver sales.

Sinus s(n)orted out with Colloidal Silver

4 Effective Ways to Use Colloidal Silver to Deal with Pesky Sinus Problems (Including Sinus Cough)

A reader recently wrote me, describing a persistent cough she has been battling after coming down with a cold. She wrote:

I have a cough that I can’t get rid of. This is a dry cough that came on after a cold and I can’t get rid of it. This usually happens to me every winter. This winter I thought I was going to finally go a winter without the cough, but it came on about 1 ½ weeks ago. Is there a way to inhale the silver so it gets into my lungs to help?

I replied:

It sounds to me like a sinus issue, rather than a lung issue. I can’t know for sure, of course. And since I’m not a doctor, I can’t diagnose your condition, nor “prescribe” for you what to do.

However, I get pretty much the same thing every year during cold and flu season, and it almost always happens directly after a nasty cold. I don’t know why. But that’s the way it happens. I’ve been to doctors about it repeatedly over the past three or four years, and in every case the doctor tells me, “It’s your sinuses. They’re dripping down the back of your throat, triggering your cough. You need to start using one of the over-the-counter anti-allergy medications in order to stop it.

Well, I won’t do that because I don’t like the side effects of allergy or sinus medications. But thankfully, based upon my research for The Ultimate Colloidal Silver Manual, I’ve found that there are four basic ways to get colloidal silver up into the sinus cavities and resolve the problem:

Method #1 — Take a regular eye dropper (available at any pharmacy) and fill it with colloidal silver. Lay on your back and then slowly, start dripping colloidal silver, drip by drip, into one of your nostrils. Sniff the droplets of colloidal silver as deeply into your sinuses as you can as you drip them into your nose. Once you let a full dropper’s worth of colloidal silver slowly drip into your nostril, do the other nostril. You might need to do this several times a day for a few days in order to notice the sinus problem resolving.

This is probably the simplest method of resolving the sinus problem and related cough. But in my own personal experience it is not as effective as any of the other three methods below. So if that doesn’t work for you, you might want to consider trying this:

Method #2 — Go to your local pharmacy and purchase one of those little one-ounce or two-ounce nasal squeeze spray bottles full of saline solution that people use to spray a fine mist of saline solution up into their sinuses. They cost about a buck.

But what you’re going to do when you get it home is grab the little nipple-nozzle and pull it right out of the bottle. Then dump the saline solution and wash the empty squeeze spray bottle out real good with warm water. Then rinse it out real good with distilled water.

Finally, fill it about half-way with colloidal silver (no more than halfway or it won’t spray the fine mist you need) and put the little nipple-nozzle back in. Then start using it to spray a fine mist of colloidal silver up into your nostrils at least three or four times a day, while sniffing vigorously to get it up into the sinuses. (See “How to make a Colloidal Silver Nasal Spray Bottle” to learn more.)

If you don’t want to go through the trouble of making your own nasal spray squeeze bottle as described above, you can buy a simple pump spray bottle like the one to the left, which are usually available on Amazon or other websites for a few bucks. Sometimes even local health food stores carry them. They work just as well, or better, than the squeeze spray bottle described above.

Those options usually do the trick. But if not, there’s another method avid colloidal silver users use:

Method #3 — Go to your local pharmacy and buy a small plastic pot with a long spout, called a “neti pot.” The neti pot allows you to completely flush your sinuses. It usually comes with little packets of powder containing sea salt and baking soda.

Basically, you follow the directions that come with the neti pot, adding lukewarm water to the basin of the pot, while stirring in a packet of the powder. But you’re going to add about an ounce of colloidal silver to the mix and make sure it’s well stirred. (For more stubborn sinus problems, some people add half warm water and half colloidal silver to the neti pot.)

The general idea is to stand over a bathroom sink, lean forward, turn your head to one side, and insert the end of the long neti pot spout into one of your nostrils, and then literally start pouring the solution into your nostril (see a short video demonstration of how to use a neti pot, here). The liquid solution will go straight to your sinus cavity, and then run out your other nostril. I know it sounds weird. But for many people with stubborn sinus issues, rinsing out the sinuses with water and colloidal silver is the #1 most effective choice.

Method #4 — Finally, if all else fails, you can nebulize colloidal silver directly into your sinuses. When you add colloidal silver to the reservoir in a medical nebulizer and turn the machine on, it atomizes the liquid colloidal silver and turns it into a vapor you can inhale through your mouth or through your nose. In the case of a suspected sinus issue, inhaling through the nose would obviously be the most desirable method, because that allows the colloidal silver vapor to coat your sinus cavities as you inhale it.

Nebulizing colloidal silver into the sinuses is generally considered to be a last resort for most people, because medical nebulizers are often hard to come by, and they can be a bit pricey, especially compared to a simple pump spray bottle or squeeze spray bottle such as those discussed above. Plus, nebulizers are considered to be medical devices, so most commercial outlets such as pharmacies will want a prescription from your doctor before they’ll sell you one.

However, people often sell nebulizers on Amazon and on eBay without requiring a prescription to buy. And there’s a nifty site called JustNebulizers.com, too, where you can choose from a wide array of nebulizers. You can easily pick one up for under $50 if you shop carefully. One of my favorite brands of nebulizers is called “Omron.” They’re a bit more expensive, but they’re very well-made. Nevertheless, there are many brands and they all do a pretty good job of atomizing liquids (such as colloidal silver) so they can be inhaled.

You can learn more about nebulizing colloidal silver in the article (and short video) titled “Using Colloidal Silver With a Nebulizer” (also, be sure to read the important cautions in that article). Most people I know nebulizer their colloidal silver anywhere from three to five minutes at a time, and then stop. You may have to do it several times throughout the course of the day, initially. But it doesn’t take long to start healing your sinuses, and you can then judge how often you need to use it after that. For me, it generally knocks out a sinus problem (along with that irritating sinus cough) in two or three days, or less.

In Conclusion…

Okay, those are the four basic methods for using colloidal silver to deal with pesky sinus problems. Again, I’m not “diagnosing” or “prescribing.” Just reporting what I’ve learned in the course of my research for The Ultimate Colloidal Silver Manual.

Be sure to let me know how it works out for you, should you decide to try any of these methods!

And please be sure to join the new Colloidal Silver Secrets Community on Facebook, where you can ask and answer questions about colloidal silver and its usage…participate in ongoing Discussion threads…learn about the latest ways to use colloidal silver…and much, much more!

Meanwhile, I’ll be back next week with another great article on colloidal silver….

Colloidal Silver – some benefits

Proven Colloidal Silver Health Benefits Infographic chart

What is Colloidal Silver?Dime

Before the invention of the refrigerator, it was common practice to drop a silver coin into a container of milk as a preservative because silver was known to prevent the growth of algae, bacteria and other undesirable organisms.

Dating back to ancient times, silver was also a popular remedy to stop the spread of diseases. Its use as a natural antibiotic continued all the way until the 1940s, when modern antibiotics arrived.

Today, obviously, people don’t need to drop silver coins into their water to experience colloidal silver benefits! All you need to do is carefully take a few drops from a bottle that you buy at the store, which is:

A solution of water containing nanometre sized particles of suspended silver. The total silver content is expressed as milligrams of silver per litre (mg/L) of water which is numerically the same as parts per million (ppm). The total silver content is divided into two forms of silver: ionic silver and silver particles. (3)

There are basically three types of products that are marketed as “colloidal silver” and these can be categorized as:

  • Ionic silver solutions
  • Silver protein
  • True colloidal silver

Ionic silver –

Ionic silver solutions are products whose silver content primarily consists of silver ions. Although ionic silver is often marketed as colloidal silver, it’s not true colloidal silver. Because it’s the least expensive to produce, ionic silver is the most popular product in this category. The problem? It simply won’t produce the same benefits that true colloidal silver can.

Silver Protein –

In order to keep large silver particles suspended, silver protein-based products add gelatin. Silver protein is the second-most popular type of colloidal silver product on the market and can easily be made by adding water to silver protein powder. Again, it’s also often marketed and labeled as colloidal silver, but should not be confused for the real thing. Silver protein is less effective for human use, and you won’t experience the true colloidal silver benefits.

True Colloidal Silver –

Lastly, true silver colloids don’t contain any protein or other additives, as the vast majority of the silver content consists of nanometre-sized silver particles. (4)

Colloidal Silver Side Effects

Although the National Center for Complimentary and Integrative Health reports that colloidal silver may cause poor absorption of some drugs, there is limited research proving that side effects to colloidal silver use even exist. (17)

Nonetheless, you may come across many warnings about it causing an irreversible condition called argyria (when people turn blue). However, this is caused by misuse not of true colloidal silver, but through other cheaper products marketed as colloidal silver, such as ionic silver or silver protein.

One point to consider is that, because colloidal silver is such a potent antibacterial agent, you should be sure to supplement with probiotics during use to be sure that you maintain a proper balance of microflora.

Black Cumin Seeds provide many wonderful health benefits

by Tony Isaacs

(NaturalNews) The prophet Mohammad reportedly said that seeds of the black cumin plant could cure anything but death itself. While that may seem to be quite the tall order, black cumin (Nigella sativa) does in fact have remarkable healing and health properties that make it one of the most powerful medicinal plants known to man.

Black cumin is a part of the buttercup family and the seeds are dark, thin, and crescent-shaped when whole. The seeds have been used for many centuries in the Middle East, the Mediterranean and India. Today, black cumin seeds are used as a seasoning spice in different cuisines across the world due to their nutty flavor. Besides their culinary uses, black cumin seeds also have a wealth of important health benefits and are one of the most cherished medicinal seeds in history.

The seeds of the black cumin plant contain over 100 chemical compounds, including some yet to be identified. In addition to what is believed to be the primary active ingredient, crystalline nigellone, black cumin seeds contain: thymoquinone, beta sitosterol, myristic acid, palmitic acid, palmitoleic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid, linolenic acid, arachidonic acid, protein, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, folic acid, calcium, iron, copper, zinc, and phosphorous.

Black cumin seeds have a particularly long and strong history use in Egypt. When archaeologists found and examined the tomb of Egyptian boy-king Tutankhamen (King Tut), they found a bottle of black cumin oil, which suggested that it was believed to be needed in the afterlife.

Physicians to the Egyptian pharaohs frequently used the seeds after extravagant feasts to calm upset stomachs. They also used the seeds to treat headaches, toothaches, colds, and infections. Queen Nefertiti, renowned for her stunning beauty, used black seed oil, likely due to its abilities to strengthen and bring luster to hair and nails.

Hundreds of studies have been conducted on black cumin which have shown that compounds from the seeds help fight diseases by boosting the production of bone marrow, natural interferon, and immune cells.

Several of the studies have shown that black cumin seed extract could assist individuals with autoimmune disorders and could possibly help to fight cancer. One recent study on black cumin seed oil demonstrated that it was effective against pancreatic cancer, one of the deadliest and most difficult to treat cancers.

See: www.naturalnews.com/023348.html

Black cumin is one of the very few botanicals that have shown such effectiveness (the other most notable one is oleander extract).

One of black cumin’s most popular and effective uses is the treatment of diseases related to the respiratory system: including asthma, bronchitis, rheumatism and cold symptoms. The seeds help increase body tone, stimulate menstrual period, and increase the flow of breast milk in nursing mothers.

Black cumin seed oil helps calm the nervous system, quells colic pain, stimulates urine production, helps treat pertussis, improves digestion and helps prevent and lower high blood pressure.

The seeds are very effective in curing abscesses and tumors of the eye, abdomen and liver, probably due in great part to the anti-tumor compound beta-sitosterol found in the seeds.

Black cumin also:

*stimulates energy and helps in recovery from fatigue and low spirits.
*is an effective cure for skin conditions such as allergies, eczema, acne, psoriasis and boils.
*is anti-parasitic.
*treats flatulence, diarrhea, hemorrhoids, constipation and dysentery.

NOTE: Those who decide to use black cumin seed oil should check labels and product information carefully. Black cumin is commonly referred to as black seed oil, black onion seed, black caraway, black sesame seed, and other names, but only Nigella sativa is true black cumin.

Ward off colds and ‘flu at the Ear!

Thanks to Steve Barwick of The Silver Edge for this information :

Colloidal Silver and Colds:

A Safe, Simple and FAST Way to Stop Colds

Before They Get Started!

Dr. Mercola once recommended putting a couple of drops of standard household 3% hydrogen peroxide into your ears, using an eye dropper, the moment you feel a cold or flu coming on.

His rationale was that many viral infections actually start in the ears, and then spread. And that hydrogen peroxide could halt the process at its inception by killing the viruses before they spread throughout the respiratory tract.

This idea was apparently based on the work of Richard Simmons, M.D., who, way back in 1928, first hypothesized that colds and flu virus enter through the ear canal.

Dr. Simmons’ findings were dismissed by the medical community. But of course, the medical community has off-handedly dismissed many helpful and healthful ideas, only to find out 20 or 40 or even 60 years later those ideas were true.

My Personal Experience

So…the very next time I felt a cold coming on, I tried this idea at bedtime. I put three drops of hydrogen peroxide in my ears, one ear at a time. I could hear and feel the peroxide bubbling like mad in my ears.

And the very next day all cold symptoms were gone! The key, apparently, is that you have to catch the cold just as it is beginning. Once it’s full blown and the viruses have spread into the respiratory system, it’s too late.

But…I discovered there was a potential PROBLEM with this method…

…For several days after using the hydrogen peroxide drops in my ears, I got the distinct impression that it had slightly burnt the soft tissue on the inside of my ears and even diminished my hearing a bit. The slight stinging feeling eventually subsided. But…

Using Colloidal Silver in the Ears, Instead…

…The next time I felt a cold coming on, I used COLLOIDAL SILVER in my ears, instead of hydrogen peroxide. I used three drops of 10 ppm homemade colloidal silver in each ear.

 Here’s what I did:

I simply laid down on one side, and used an eye dropper to administer the three drops. Then I waited six to eight minutes and turned over and drained the colloidal silver into a tissue.

Then I laid down on my other side and repeated the process in the other ear. Wow…

…what a difference! No burning or stinging sensation whatsoever. In fact, it was remarkably soothing, instead. No perceptible hearing loss afterwards. And once more the budding cold was knocked out before it could fully take hold.

It’s an interesting and very simple remedy – much safer, in my opinion than the use of hydrogen peroxide in the ears.

And since that time I’ve used it successfully many, many times to stop fledgling colds from becoming full-blown colds.

Works great on kids with symptoms of a fledgling cold, too!

Never leave home without ginger

Six reasons to never leave home without ginger

The amazing abilities of the ginger plant to promote vibrant health and prevent disease cannot be overstated, especially because of how easy it is to consume both ginger root and leaves on a daily basis in the form of capsules, tea, extract, soft chews, and even slices or pieces added to various foods. Here are six specific reasons why you should make ginger a part of your everyday health regimen:

1. Ginger helps treat colds, respiratory ailments. As highlighted in a 1993 study published in the journalEconomic Botany, ginger is a powerful expectorant, which means it triggers the body to produce more hydration secretions for the purpose of lubricating the respiratory tract. Ginger helps thin bronchial mucus in order to clear up clogged airways, which in turn improves breathing and lung capacity. (http://www.springerlink.com/content/j312643x38882260/)

When treating a cough or cold with ginger, you can experience almost immediate relief by either combining it with tamarind leaves and brewing it in hot water, crushing and mixing it fresh with honey, or boiling it along with fenugreek seeds and mixing it with ginger rhizome juice. Dr. Deepak Acharya lists three proven ginger recipes for instant cough and cold relief in a recent report he authored atGreenMedInfo.comhttp://www.greenmedinfo.com

2. Ginger helps treat stomach aches, indigestion, and nausea. Perhaps its most well-known medicinal proper, ginger’s ability to quell upset stomach, indigestion, and nausea rivals that of many antacids and antihistamines. Numerous studies and user experiences have shown that ginger is a powerful remedy for motion sickness, morning sickness, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and indigestion. (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/natural/961.html)

Dissolving roughly one gram of ginger powder in boiling water or another hot beverage is a simple way to prevent or alleviate indigestion and stomach aches. Even eating a soft ginger chew candy or two prior to riding the bus, going sailing, or engaging in another type of activity that would otherwise induce nausea, is often enough to prevent nausea symptoms from ever forming. (http://www.naturalnews.com/034934_ginger_root_nausea_vomiting.html)

3. Ginger targets headaches, migraines. Many people suffer from chronic headaches and migraines, for which few effective remedies exist outside of potentially dangerous pharmaceutical drugs. But ginger’s anti-inflammatory properties are believed to be the mechanism by which this powerful herb effectively fights chronic head pain, making it an absolute necessity when traveling, working, or engaging in other activities that may trigger a headache.

Keeping a box of ginger tea in your purse or car, or carrying around a small bottle or pouch of ginger pills, will ensure that you have quick access to ginger as an effective pain reliever. Dr. Acharya also recommends creating a ginger paste out of dried ginger powder and water, and applying it to the forehead for immediate relief. (http://www.doctoroz.com/videos/all-natural-headache-cures)

4) Ginger helps relieve joint, muscle pain. Like it does with headaches, ginger can also help to relieve joint and muscle pain due to its powerful anti-inflammatory effect. Taking a few grams of ginger root powder, extract, or capsules daily can help significantly reduce joint and muscle pain, as well as symptoms associated with arthritis, according to a 2001 study published in the journal Arthritis and Rheumatism. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/1665874.stm)

Ginger root powder can also be ground up and mixed with Castor (Ricinus communis) root and applied topically to the skin covering painful joints, according to Dr. Acharya. (http://www.greenmedinfo.com)

5. Ginger helps clear out intestinal worms, parasites. If you suffer from chronic digestive pain or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), there is a chance the source of this discomfort is intestinal worms or parasites, which may also be stealing nutrients from the foods you eat. If this is the case, a great way to naturally rid yourself of these foreign invaders is to supplement with ginger.

A plethora of research confirms that ginger possesses unique anthelmintic effects, which means it is capable of destroying parasitic intestinal worms. It is believed that ginger’s array of powerful enzymes combined with its stimulatory capacity make it an effective treatment for parasites, whether taken as a supplement or as a tea. (http://www.curezone.org/forums/am.asp?i=479834)

6. Ginger helps promote kidney health, dissolve urinary stones. Since it acts as a warming, circulatory stimulant, ginger can help cleanse the body of harmful toxins, including those that build up in the kidneys. Particularly in people with diabetes, ginger helps protect the kidneys against diabetic nephropathy, or deterioration of normal kidney function. (http://tribune.com.ng)

The mechanisms by which ginger stimulates proper kidney function are also linked to promoting healthy liver function and blood flow. In the former, ginger assists the body in converting cholesterol into bile acids. In the latter, ginger helps prevent blood platelets from sticking together, which can cause coagulation and eventually harmful blood clots if left unaddressed. (http://www.vrp.com)
